Common questions about the Mercedes Major Service

Who should choose the Major Service?

The Major Service is ideal for owners who want more comprehensive maintenance than the standard Mercedes A and B service schedule.

It’s particularly useful when purchasing a used Mercedes, when service history is unclear, or when you want to replace additional filters, fluids and maintenance items to keep the vehicle in top condition.

Mercedes vehicles normally follow an alternating A Service and B Service schedule.

However, some maintenance items are required at longer kilometre intervals or based on vehicle condition. These include the engine air filter, fan belt, coolant, differential oil, and wiper blades.

Our Major Service is designed to cover these additional maintenance items, providing more comprehensive preventative maintenance than the standard Mercedes A and B service schedule.

Transmission servicing varies significantly between Mercedes models and is therefore offered as a separate service package. You can view our Automatic Transmission Service or Manual Transmission Service packages for more details.

Mercedes-Benz vehicles normally follow an alternating A Service and B Service schedule as part of the factory maintenance program.

Our Major Service is an enhanced service package designed by Eurostar Diesels for owners who want more comprehensive preventative maintenance than the standard schedule provides.

It includes replacement of additional filters, fluids and maintenance items that are not always covered during regular A and B services.

Many Mercedes owners choose a Major Service periodically to ensure all key maintenance items are up to date.

Mercedes vehicles normally follow an alternating A Service and B Service schedule.

For Mercedes cars and SUVs, servicing is typically required every 12 months or between 10,000km and 25,000km, depending on the model and driving conditions.

Mercedes vans such as the Vito and Sprinter generally require servicing between 20,000km and 40,000km, depending on the engine and service indicator system.

Once a Major Service has been completed, vehicles normally continue with the regular A Service and B Service schedule.

Our services use parts, oils and fluids that meet or exceed Mercedes-Benz specifications.

This ensures that your vehicle is maintained to the correct standards while preserving your Mercedes-Benz manufacturer warranty.

At Eurostar Diesels, we specialise in Mercedes vehicles and follow the correct service procedures, giving you dealership-level servicing without the dealership price.
